Loving Yourself First , Has a Magical Effect

What happens when we begin to practice self-love rather than merely talk about it?

Self-love can feel selfish in a world where we’ve been taught to put others first. We struggle to maintain a devoted self-love practice because setting aside time for self-love produces guilt. It’s aggravating. We know we need self-love, but we have a hard time allowing ourselves to feel it. Isn’t it ironic?

We’re living in a time where the self-love revolution is gaining traction, but we’re having a hard time completing the work because it goes against everything we’ve been taught. We were never taught self-love in school, and most of us were never taught it at home.

So, what did we discover?

We learned to prioritize others. We learned the value of achievement. We learned to put in long hours and earn money. We didn’t, however, learn how to keep ourselves fuelled for the trek.

Self-love is the gasoline that keeps us going; it’s the cornerstone of who we are. Everything is built on top of this foundation, and life feels wobbly if it isn’t strong. Those of us who have experienced the power of self-love can attest to the fact that the results may be very spectacular.
